If you are new to sewing or want to freshen up some rusty skills, join Cathy as she walks you through the basics of planning a project, selecting a pattern, understanding the right stitches for your fabric, cutting efficiently, and staying organized.
The project for this class will be spooky themed tote bags. Participants will get to choose from a variety of ice-dyed cotton twill panels and felt appliques to stitch to their bags.
Bring your sewing machine to sew along during the lecture. All other class materials will be provided. If you don’t have a sewing machine, that is ok. We have extras!
All participants will receive a swag bag, sewing supplies, and a lecture summary. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
Participants must be over the age of 18. BYOB is not allowed, sorry! Make sure your sewing machine is in good working order before your arrival.
